Re-Creation

 

Re-creation started in September 2002 as a workshop involving the following elements:
Creating a story/a character-performing/staging-documentation-re-telling/presentation. The theme of Re-Creation is "identity". Who are you? Who are you not?

The students work in couples or individually, creating alter fictional persons (identities).
Each fictional person was documented during one day. This documentation then tells the story about the fictive person/chartacter. Who is she/he and why? What does she/he do? When and where?

The project has developed through the autumn; some characters have disappeared, some of them have new lives. ( Re-Creation: act of creating/production of the human intelligence, esp. one in which imagination has a part)
Recreation: play or amusement; refreshment of body and mind; sth that pleasant occupies one´s time after work is done.
